COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY RATES

If you are a small stud, hobby breeder, part-time trainer or just starting out in business, you are more likely to be 'personal' use' - so talk to us about what you need.

The following is a guideline for commercial operations:

Images not intended for personal use, other than where permission is granted to horse owners to reproduce emailed horse images for purposes of sale or promotion in magazines such as ‘Horse Deals’, are liable to commercial charges. This may include horse studs, trainers, publishers, manufacturers, retailers and advertisers in general.

A photographer’s livelihood is based on owning copyright to their images and licensing out limited rights to others who want to use those images. Commercial fees are based on an image’s exact use and to determine a quote, we need to know the following:
    1) electronic or print use
    2) if for world wide web use, type of page - home page or secondary
    3) size of image to be used
    4) length of display time, one time non-exclusive, from 6 months to 2 years, or longer
    5) whether for personal use, corporate use, small business use, advertising use
    6) size of press run if use is print

As a general price guideline for small business, non-exclusive rights:

Website use: 

• home page, thumbnail or icon size  $300/2 years
  
• secondary page, thumbnail or icon size  $200/2 years
  
• home page, half screen  $900/2 years
  
• secondary page, half screen  $600/2 years
  

Promotional catalogues (single use):

• cover  $450
  
• single page  $300
  
• half page  $165
  
• minimum  $110
  

Annie Beach Photography protects copyright interests. Unauthorized usage will result in being invoiced triple the standard fee the image would normally be billed.
