About Our Print Quality:

We use Museo (aka Crane's) Rag paper, a 100% cotton archival paper which is used for fine art printing for exhibitions and art collections :

1) Museo Portfolio Rag paper, a fine art matte rag inkjet paper. A beautiful smooth paper with a non-reflective surface which makes it ideal if framing prints behind glass.

2) Museo Silver Rag, also a 100% cotton archival paper for inkjet, with a slight sheen to the surface. Looks similar to the old traditonal silver gelatin prints. Gives extra impact to black and white prints.

And for the budget minded, we use our regular Kodak Endura prints (not available with all prints) :

3) Kodak Endura paper is an archival plastic paper of the highest quality available.

Rag Paper and Kodak prints are printed at professional laboratories with expertise in their mediums.

Not all prints are equal: some are more suitable as smaller prints (ie 12 x 18 inches) and are marked as such.

Sizes:

The print sizes listed in the Gallery are the approximate size of the image area; the paper size may be larger to allow for print handling, or the image may be slightly less. Also, crops vary eg. an image may look better at 12 x 16 inches than 12 x 18 inches.

When choosing the size, remember that once framed, your finished photograph will be even larger still. eg. a 12 x 18 inch print may end up closer to 18 x 24 inches - or even larger depending on the width of the matte border.

Delivery Times:

If the print of your choice is already edited on file, delivery will only be the regular 30-35 days (longer in the pre-Christmas period).

If the print is yet to be prepared for printing, delivery times will take longer, even up to 60 days. Sorry! But to achieve the best possible print quality, a lot of to-ing and fro-ing takes place for test prints.
